Hello Yasu-san,
"Can P82B715 support 400kHz Fast mode really ?"
I did testing with this a while ago by providing a 400Khz waveform into an NMOS (link below). The testing showed it was possible to use this device at 400kHz though you will need strong pull up resistors if you expect there will be a lot of capacitance between the 'L' side of the device.
To be sure this is the right device for you application:
1) Can you tell me what application/end equipment you are designing?
2) Are you communicating across cables? If so how far and what kind of cable (cat 5?)?
3) What is your Vcc?
P82B715 is a device which I see as overkill for most applications and want to make sure this device is the right pick.
Thanks,
-Bobby
Hi Bobby-san,
Thanks for your quick reply! Yesterday, I visited our customer, and confirmed the details of their request.
The end equipment is the production printer, and they have plan to use 5m(max) USB cable. They know P82B715 has too much performance.
But they want to rise the noise immunity with high voltage level. Currently we recommend TCA9509, TCA9517, TCA9617B, TCA980x and P82B96(customer requested).
Thanks
Yasu
