DP83867IR: DC blocking caps on MDI?

Is it acceptable to interface the MDI signal pairs out of the DP83867IRPAPT using DC blocking capacitors into the MDI pairs of the Switch IC or would this not be supported?  Thanks!

    Hi Jarrett,

    A complete capacitive isolation solution is not possible with DP83867. However, the solution can be reduced to only one magnetics between DP83867 and another DP83867. Since this question involves a Switch as a link partner, the Switch should also be able to support such coupling strategy.
