My customer is using the TLK100PHP in a proof of concept design and can't see any traffic on the MII bus. He claims to be able to read "reasonable" register values over MDIO bus, but cannot even get a single pulse over the TX line. The link detect bit is never set, even when connected to loopback cable or hub. No power-down or disable registers appear to be set, so any suggestions on what else to check would be appreciated.
