Can the P82B715 I2C bus extender be used in hot plugging applications? If so is there anything special that needs to be done to make it hot pluggable?

    Hi Rob,

    Sorry for the slow response.

    The TCA4311 is recommended for hotplugging applications, but the P82B715 has ESD protection and can be used. The only concern is there may be glitches or contention on the line while the device is being connected but often this can be overcome in software.
