XIO2001: PRST pin behavior

Hello,

I have a question about /PRST pin behavior of XIO2001.

Now I have one XIO2001 device which may be broken or may have a kind of defect.

Then I have to investigate what happens to this device.

In this device, /PRST pin never goes to High even after /GRST is deasserted.

Then my question is that does /PRST pin go to HIGH without any action after /GRST is deasserted?

Or is any additional action required do have /PRST pin go to HIGH?

I would like to know whether there is any conditions to have /PRST pin go to high.

Regards,

Oba

  • Oba,

I do not believe PRST goes high without any action after GRST goes high. Please see quote from data sheet on page 27 on one way to assert PRST.

"When bit 6 (SRST) in the bridge control register at offset 3Eh (see Bridge Control Register) is asserted, the bridge asserts the PRST terminal. A 0 in the SRST bit deasserts the PRST terminal."
