LMH1297: Force Carrier Detect Power Down

Hello,

Regarding the LMH1297 Programming Guide (SNAU204C),
there is mentioning of Power Down on page 7.
(3.3 Force Carrier Detect Power Down)

Are the power down by ENABLE pin and the "Force Carrier Detect Power Down" same function and same power consumption?
We'd like to confirm the most suitable power down setting to reduce the power consumption.

Hi Itabi,

To reduce power consumption ENABLE pin would have lower power consumption. Force Carrier Detect Power Down forces signal detect to turn off and this powers down CDR. Enable pin completely power down the device including signal detect, CDR, and the drivers.

Can we establish the same Power Down as ENABLE pin by register control?
If it's possible, could you tell us register's setting?

Hi Itabi,

Through register, we can use force power save mode. These are register Config_IO 0x00[5:3]. To force power save or power down mode, set Config_IO[5:3]=3'b111.
