Part Number: TPS65987-90EVM

Hi Team,

On the TPS65987-90EVM, LM3489QMM/NOPB is selected as the power converter sourcing Vbus at different voltage levels according to the PD negotiation.

I'd like to know why LM3489QMM/NOPB was chosen and is there anything we need to take in consideration when selecting the power converter for type-C PD applications?

    Hi Roy,

    the LM3489 was selected as it can have 100% duty cycle on the external PFET so that we can pass the 20V from the barrel jack to the Type-C VBUS when in a 20V Source contract.
