DP83867IR: DP83867IR Test Mode

Hi Sir,

Customer designed DP83867IR as Ethernet controller and want to get the 100M/1000M Ethernet compliance test method from it.

In datasheet, there are some command to force the DP83867IR into the compliance mode.

But customer try it, only one channel can transmit signal and the peak voltage can’t match the IEEE specification.

Please help to double check the command run under Uboot mode? Or OS mode? How to drive all channels?

Hi Anne,

If the test waveform is only coming out of one channel, then the customer probably has a problem with extended register access.

Please review the datasheet on extended address space access. The customer cannot directly read or write to register 0x25 or 0x1d5.

Please have your attention to section 8.4.2.1.3 for writing registers and 8.4.2.1.4 for reading registers.
