DP83822I: Test Interrupt bit as default

Part Number: DP83822I

Hi Team,

Reading the test interrupt bit (PHYSCR, bit 2), the customer gets "1" as default in their experiment. Could you confirm the default logic of the test interrupt register? Can it be changed without accessing the register, such as boot strap?

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,

Takeshi Sasaki

  • Hi Sasaki-san,

    Upon reading of the DP83822I default register in our lab, it matches the definition in the datasheet.

    Value read out of register 0x11 = 0x0108

    bit[2] = 0.

    bit[2] is not controlled by bootstrap. Perhaps an error is happening. Maybe they are reading a different PHY address, or perhaps timing of the bus is incorrect.

    Is the MDC being operated at frequencies above 25MHz? Is the read back result repeatable? What is the full value of register 0x11?

    Best Regards,
