TPS65982: how can I configure TPS65982 external path's OCP current value?

Hi all,

I do not know how can I set up a current value( OCP point ) for external path in TPS65982. As we all know, TPS65982 check internal path OCP and external path OCP current value . I only find how to set up internal path current value for 982 device, and could not find the file or documents for reference, how can I set OCP current value for external path?

Hi April,

To set the PPEXT OCP, you just need to change the "Switch Source" Field to PP_EXT. Everything else is the same is for PP_5V and PP_HV.

Hi Beljaars,

Thanks for your reply. And I see different settings for TPS65982 external path current, please refer to my attachment. I get the data from TPS65982 datasheet.

I do not know the relationship between the setting : "Switch Source" Field to PP_EXT, max current.

Please help me on this. Thanks.

Hi April,

The TPS65982 FW will automatically select the PP_EXT Current Limit setting based on your GUI configuration. There is no need to set this configuration since our FW will do it automatically.
