Is there a recommended chip that can support serial port UART and 485 signal conversion?

The rate is about 5Mbps.

    Hi Jerry,

    What kind of signal is coming from the serial port in this case? Is it low-voltage logic (TTL/CMOS) or is it higher-voltage RS-232? In both cases you could use an RS-485 transceiver like THVD1500 to handle the RS-485 interface, but if the circuit needs to interface to an RS-232 port then some additional circuitry will be required.
