TPS25820: Behavior with Rp on both CC lines

Hi Team,

the truth table 2 on page 14 states all kind of possible input stages but does not define what happens when Rp (56k) is seen on both CC lines. I know this should not happen under normal conditions but what would the device do if it sees that?

    Hi Simon,

    If sink device with a 56k on the CC lines (on either both lines or a single line) whether its pulled down or pulled up will not be seen as a valid Rd and so we can expect the TPS25820 to not turn on its pass FET. In addition, the logic outputs POL and SINK will be High Z. Note there is no voltage on VBUS to power the sink. Thanks!
