TPS2546: STATUS pin behavior

Part Number: TPS2546

Hi,

I have some question about STATUS pin behavior as below.

  1. What would be the possible STATUS behaviors under CDP mode?  From the datasheet, I see 3 scenarios as below.  May i know if there's any other scenario missing here?  Can you explan the 2nd scenario?  I don't fully understand the definition of "an attached device does a BC1.2 primary detection"
    1. STATUS asserts in CDP when load current is above ILIM_LO+60 mA for 200 ms.
    2. STATUS asserts in CDP when an attached device does a BC1.2 primary detection.
    3. STATUS de-asserts in CDP and DCP when the load current is below ILIM_LO+10 mA for 3 s
  2. I know STATUS is functional under 3 modes as described below (based on Table 3. Truth Table).  DOes it mean STATUS is not functional at all the other modes?
    1. 0011(DCP_AUTO): Load Detect – Power Wake functionality.
    2. 0111(DCP_AUTO)): Load Detect – Power Wake functionality.
    3. 1111(CDP): As mentioned above

    Thanks!

    Antony
