SN65LVDS93A: Ambient vs. Junction Temperature

Dear Team,

our customer would like to use the SN65LVDS93A. The data sheet shows 85C ambient temp.

Now, the LVDS93A is close to the processor and the PCB around the device might heat up, up to 100C.

Could you please help us understand if this could be an issue?

Martin,

This could be an issue for this device as the ambient temp specification is probably violated at max power dissipation in this environment. In this case the datasheet cannot guarantee performance.
