TPS65982: TPS65982DC FW setting for the I2C_IRQZ

Dear all,

My customer have one type C only supporting DP+USB3.0, and when they insert the adapter to the port, they want the EC can get one interrupt and send message to process to provide notification to users that "power supply is not support for this port".

Now in the FW, we set the interrupt Mask for Plug insert or removal, but there is no I2C_IRQZ signal, so could you please advice what the problem or what should be checked for this function.

Hi John,

There are two I2C ports in TPS65982, are you sure that you're enabling the Plug Insert or removal mask in the right port? There's a chance that the mask is set for one of the I2C ports and customer is checking the another I2C port for interrupt.

Hi Rahul,

I checked with customer , the insert and removal mask is correctly checked, and we find the port information is set to Rp only on CC line, so it cannot get the interrupt information.
