TXB0104YZTR use case

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXB0104

Dear Sir,

we use TXB0104YZTR  for IRDA UART interface voltage level transform,

The IRDA power source is same as TXB0104YZTR VCCB

If tuen off IRDA the  TXB0104YZTR will only have VCCA power .

Will the IRDA module receive the UART signal when TXB0104YZTR doesn't have VCCB power?

Thanks

B.R

Louis

  • Hi Louis,

The TXB0104 supports Vcc isolation which means that the IO ports are in hi-Z, if either Vcca or Vccb supply is disabled and pulled down to 0V.
The Vcc isolation feature is not supported when the supply is left floating. So, if the IRDA supply is left floating then B port Hi-Z is not guaranteed, but if actively held 0V, the A/B ports are in HiZ and disconnected from each other.
