SN6501: 350mA

Hi Sir 

i saw SN6501 have 350mA for 5Vin to 5Vout

But the efficiency report only show 100mA ,May I know the reason ?

    Kai,

    The efficiency curve in the datasheet is for output current (secondary side) and the 350mA max is for the primary side current. The current in the primary side vs secondary side  will depend on load as well as transformer turns ratio. One could have only 100mA of load but that could mean 300mA primary side current depending on the transformer being used.
