MAX3237E: Data singling rates and Baud relationship

Hi Team,

MAX3237E spec describe the  data signaling rates up to 1Mbit/s.

is it equal baud up to 1Mbit/s?

if my customer would set the baud 921600, have any issue?

    Hi Arking,

    RS-232 signaling uses simple binary NRZ data encoding, and so the data rate, signaling rate, baud rate, line rate, etc. would all refer to the same thing (i.e., how fast the transmitter and receiver are able to switch between states). The MAX3237E can support the baud rate of 921600 baud and any other rate up to a maximum of 1 Mbaud.
