LVDS receiver sensitivity

Hello,

I'm searching a way to test LVDS receiver differential amplitude sensitivity. For this purpose I need a LVDS driver with current programmable, do you have this kind of component?

If not, how LVDS receiver are tested, is it by using some resistor network at the source to adapt the voltage level or any another circuit?

Hi Mattieu,

LVDS receivers are tested with automated equipment. They have the capability to drive much smaller voltage amplitudes to ensure the specific datasheet threshold performance of LVDS devices. The LVDS outputs themselves have higher voltage and current drive strength, so using a divider to reduce the input voltage sounds like a reasonable methodology.

Hi Matthieu,

Sorry I do not have detailed knowledge in this area. However this type of equipment is highly programmable and flexible to provide accurate current and voltage sources for testing input and output parameters.
