TPS65987D: 20V apply before PD negotiation

Hi, Team,

What kind of behavior would be considered if VBUS 1 and 2 ports suddenly took 20V before negotiation? For example, if an abnormal PD adapter with 20V on VBUS is connected.

Hi Yone-san,

In this scenario we would trigger OVP and protect the system from the non-compliant adapter. There are some measurements included in the Power Path Protection and Performance App Note that can be found here:
