TUSB8041: TUSB8041I pin48 USB_VBUS

Part Number: TUSB8041

I have one question about Pin48 of TUSB8041

We use the P3V3 and P1V1 (S0 power) for hub VDD33 and VDD. The platform is no P5V (S0 power) but have P3V3 (S0 power).

From the datasheet mention as below: If voltage divider by 5V, the divider voltage is 0.5v(approx.)

Can we use P3v3 power to divider? 3.3v through a 90.9k ohm and to ground through 16.2k ohm from signal to GND. The upstream port connects to AMD Rome CPU.

  • Yes, you can adjust the resistor values if VBUS is pulled to 3.3V instead of 5V. Please be aware that the as long as the hub senses a voltage on the USB_VBUS input it will assume an upstream host / hub is connected.
