what is the detailed application condition?
regarding the coax cable, you can check the UB948 which has coax cable design qualification. as you know. the coax and STP diff. is the high speed signal swing, so in your application, you should take care of the total system design margin, including the cable length, coax cable S11/S12, etc.

For DMD products.Image data from DS90UB921-Q1 to DS90UB924-Q1.
So is 924 not qualified for coaxial cable design?

UB924 can be use for any transmission media if the link S parameter met device design spec., but in our lab, we don't characterize the coax cable in d/s. in our lab, we have many tests based on 2m coax cable between ub921 and ub924 with 302/462 cable.

Does the cable 302/462 have a complete model?In addition, if we only transmit images whose pixel clock is 44.4MHz ( 1152*512/24bit ) and do not use I2S & GPIO, what is the transmission frequency of 921 to 924 (cable )?

Hi Samson,
it is dacar462, you can check it with cable vendor such as Rosenburger, etc.
The 44.4MHz PCLK is well in this case. the maxim freq. between 921 and 924 is 85MHz.

Hi Steven,

We are talking to Rosenberger about HSD cable (for DS90UB921-Q1 EVM: P1 Connector).
We need to know the maximum transmission data frequency (?GHz) of the FPD link III on the cable.
Can you help to estimate the approximate value?

Sam,
the line rate is specified in d/s as well. when ub921 is paired with UB924, the link line rate is limited by UB924's PCLK (85MHz x35 = 2975Mbps).

Hi Steven,
So the FPD Link III transmits an image of 44 MHz (pixel clock). The frequency on the cable is 1.54GHz (44MHz*35)?
