Hi, team.

My customer is trying to use "HD3SS215".

Since there was a question about "HD3SS215" from the customer, please tell me this.

Q1：My customer plans to configure two sources and to one sink application using HD3SS215.

　　 Their plan is to connect HDMI Input Connector on one source side.

Is it OK to connect HDMI Input Connector?

Q2：On the above system configuration, does it require AC coupling capacitors between HD3SS215 and SN65DP159?

Could you help me?

You do not need AC coupling capacitor between HD3SS215 and SN65DP159 since it is already AC coupled on the other side of HD3SS215. But without AC coupling cap, then SN65DP159 will not work with input HDMI connector since the path is DC coupled, so you need to replace SN65DP159 with TMDS181.

② Is it necessary to realize by TMD181 and TMD159 by signal?

Would you please elaborate your question? TMDS181 is a HDMI retimer, it can't switch between two HDMI source.

In your block diagram, instead using TMDS159, I would propose use TMDS181.

To connect SoC(AC Coupling) and input connector to HDMI Switch, I plan to insert retimer(SN65DP159) between SoC and HDMI switch. Will this configuration work?

TMDS181 can handle AC couple input, you do not need SN65DP159. Having two retimer in the same signal path is an overkill unless you have significant channel loss you are trying to compensate.
