Hi Team,

From the datasheet it can be seen the max T2 is 200ms, does it mean that MDC signal should be out within 200ms?

What will be if the time exceeds 200ms?

Hi Hao,

MDC is outputted by the controller and not the PHY.
T2 means the time you should wait until you provide the PHY with MDC.
If you provide MDC prior and try to communicate with the PHY, it might not respond.
However, if you provide MDC after 200ms, the PHY is guaranteed to reply so long that you have the correct PHY configuration and PHY ID.

Thanks! Per my understanding, the time for the MDC provided afterRESET_N can be longer than 200ms if the PHY has the correct configuration without any side effect? Is it correct?
