DP83822I: LED_0, LED_1/GPIO_1 pins

Hi Team,

Quick question regarding DP83822I design for EtherCAT.

LED_0, LED_1/GPIO_1 are strapping pin.

Data sheet mentioned , choosing RH/RL resistor value based on MODE selected.

In below statement, datasheet said LED pin needs parallel resistor (DP83822 EVM is 2.49Kohm)

Customer is wondering, is it meant besides RH/RL resistor, they need to add additional resistor like below?

EVM:

LED_0, LED_1/GPIO_1 didn't populate RH, RL resistors.

Hi Andrew,

If using the LED_0 and LED_1 pins with actual LEDs, we recommend a parallel pull.
Can you send me their circuit around the LED pins for the DP83822?

So, we just suggest customer to follow Figure. 31, correct?

Customer haven't not start drawing yet, they are collecting info first, if you have a good reference design for them to follow, it's perfect then, thank you!

Hi Andrew,

I recommend that they use a parallel resistor. Yes, please have them follow figure 31.

Once they have done with the capture, please shoot me an email with the schematic and I will review it.
