Hi Roberto,

Looking up the IEC62680-1-1, this is referencing the USB battery charging spec. What is your power level and desired VBUS voltage? If your solution is 15W max (5V) then the TPS25810 should be used while if higher power and different output voltages, it should be the TPS75740B.

Hi Darwin,

yes, you are on right, my solution is 15W (5V/3A).
So, as I understood, I can use TPS25810 for this application (charger for USB type C only in DCP mode (Dedicated Charging Port)).

I hope that TPS2561A could be used for another similar application (15W) but dedicated for USB type A.

Hi Roberto,

For 5V/3A Type C applications, yes you should use the TPS25810.

For USB2.0 applications, there are several USB controller that can do 3A shown below. However I recommend starting a new thread for the latest Type A recommendation from TI for 15W.
