DS90UB954-Q1: How to check CSI-2 packet has received

Part Number: DS90UB954-Q1

Hi team,

Please tell me how to check CSI-2 packet has rececived.

Our customer is checking the connection with 954 using 953 pattern generator.

If an error occurs, they can see that the packet receives with the status register etc, but in case of no error, they want to know if the packet has received.

Is it possible to send color bar patterns continuously or repeatedly with SER / DES function?

Best regards,

Tomoaki Yoshida

  • Hello Tomoaki-san,

yes, it is possible to check the received Packets. You can use the Line Counter to count the number of lines (packets), see section 7.4.11.4 Line Counter, page 36. Also you can use the Port PASS function to inicate the received valid packets, see section 7.5.9.2 Port PASS Control, page 67.

For using the Pattern generation function to send continous pattern please refer to section 7.5.11 Pattern Generation, page 68
  • Hi Hamzeh-san,

    Thank you for your support.

We will suggest customers to use Line Counter register to check packets.

Regarding the repeat setting of the pattern generator, I did not understand it although I looked at the data sheet.

Can you tell me if there is a sample code to serve as reference?

There is a sample code 7.5.11.4 Code Example for Pattern Generator in data sheet, page 69.

    Is this pattern repeating?

    Best regards,

    Tomoaki Yoshida

  • Hello Tomoaki-san,

all Pattern are continous. So yes, you can use the Code example from the datasheet page 70 for generating color bars.
