[ DS90UB962-Q1 ] tDDLT (Deserializer data lock time)

Can you help to clarify the specification of the deserializer data lock time (tDDLT)?
<Q1: tDDLT for STP>:
If we consider the tDDLT for STP case, how tDDLT should be? Shorter or longer?
<Q2: Actual tDDLT>:
My customer is evaluating actual tDDLT on their system with much longer STP cable than the actual system. However the tDDLT observed is much shorter than 400mS, actually somewhere around 50mS.
It may be true that customer system has less attenuation nor insertion loss, even though they use longer cable. But do you have any ideas what condition make tDDLT longer such as 400mS range?
I would say this can be achieved if we change relock time setting from default to longest one.
