I would like to know register settingsetting for 12.25Gbps, 11.7Gbps, and 11.3 Gbps operation for DS125DF410 cdr.

Is there any equation or procedure to determine these value?

    Hi Dobby,

    You can use SigconArchitect GUI to determine register settings for these data rates. Additionally you can use this GUI to control your DS125DF410 device and in real time generate these settings for your device.

    Please below note a picture of the SigconArchitect  GUI that i used to generate values for reg 0x060 through reg 0x067 to enable the device to lock to these data rates.

    Hi Nasser,

    Thank you for the  quick reply.  I got the setting for the PPM and Frequency, but I am  not sure what to do with RATE/SUBRATE register (Loc. 0x2F [7:4]).  Can I use any value? Should I always  use 0x00?  I WISH that TI can clarify that  register setting.

    Hi Dobby,

    The datarates you indicated are all in the VCO / 1 range.  So you can use any one of several Rate/Subrate values which will allow the DS125DF410 to lock correctly.  I would recommend to use a setting of register 0x2F = 01'h to ensure the retimer only tries to lock in the correct range.  This will help to minimize time to lock.
