UC80234Q Datasheet

I am trying to get hold of a datasheet for a Unitrode Corp IC part number UC80234Q which is an EIA232E/V.28 and/or EIA423A/V.10 receiver. We have a unit with this IC fitted and need to confirm receiver input specification compatibility and any mode settings. Unitrode Corp were taken over by TI in 1999 / 2000.

Hello Chris,
Thank you for posting.

I can not find any reference to UC80234Q in the TI system.
I will see if I can find some old Unitrode databooks.
I am ex Unitrode and have saved my old material.

I will reply by end of day Friday.

Hello again Chris.

The UC80234 is a rebranded UC5180C.
And the UC5180C is in the TI system, and listed as obsolete.
However it is available at Rochester Electronics.

Hello Ed,

Thank you for your response on the re-branding of the UC80234Q Octal Line Receiver and the link to the datasheet. I have downloaded this and we will review the specification next week to confirm compatibility. On a first read through it is looking good.
