DS25CP104A: Equaliztion & Pre-emphasis levels. Detail

Good evening.

I'd like to get deeper detail on the levels of pre-emphasis and equalization provided by DS25CP104A 4x4 switch matrix.

The datasheet states 4 levels of pre-emphasis and equalization, but there is no detail about the levels.

I'd like to know how much level of pre-emphasis is inserted by DS25CP104A in order to determine if the chip is capable of interfacing a differential IC which requires a minimum 500mV differential swing.

    Hi Javier,

    In DS25CP104 data sheet there are test channels A through F. Using these test channels or transmission line loss characteristics, parametric table specifies expected jitter. You can compare your media versus one of these test channels. Alternatively, using these test channels loss characteristics and data rates you can realizer equalizer gain capabilities.
