TUSB2036: Are PWRON outputs re-enabled automatically?

Part Number: TUSB2036

This question is specific to a TUSB2036 device In non-ganged mode. If an OVERCUR input is pulled low and the corresponding PWRON output is disabled, will the PWRON output be automatically enabled if the OVERCUR input is pulled high?

    yes, In the nonganged mode, the PWRON outputs and OVRCUR inputs operate on a per-port basis

    Thanks for the reply, and I understand that in non-ganged mode, the inputs and outputs are paired.  If an OVRCUR input is pulled from low to high, is the PWRON output re-enabled automatically?  Are there any control registers or bits in the USB hub that need to be reset to re-enable the PWRON output?

    HI Fred,

    Typically when a USB hub reports an overcurrent condition to the USB host controller, the host controller will logically turn off port power on the port that reported the overcurrent or on all the downstream ports (depending on the driver). In that case, the hub would wait until the host controller has sent another SET PORT FEATURE(PORT POWER) command before re-enabling the downstream port power. Often, the USB host will require the hub to be reset or disconnected / reconnected before ti will re-enable port power.
