Hi sir,

i have the layout guide question, the specification mention the no need to break the USB signal trace, is it true? like the following:

so PIN1&PIN8 and PIN2&PIN7 must be short ? but after this bypass IC still have function?

Correct, pin 1 needs to be shorted to pin 8 and pin 2 needs to be shorted to pin 7 in order for the TUSB211 to work properly. Please refer to this implementation app note: www.ti.com/.../slla392.pdf.

I would also recommend TUSB212 instead TUSB211 for better performance.
