TPD2S300: Pitch and Solder Mask Problem

We have a TPD2S300 in our design and it has a footprint pitch of 0.4. However our PCB manufacturer and assembler have told us they are going have trouble with the solder Mask for this pitch ! It may require us to go to a more advanced PCB production process ! Is there any other components with the same functionality with a bigger pitch e.g. 0.5mm or bigger ?

Unfortunately, we do not have another part with a larger pin pitch with similar performance of TPD2S300.

What about the TI TPD2S703-Q1 ? I know it is made for the D+ & D- signals but could it also be used for the CC lines ?

The CC lines have to be able to provide up to 600mA of current to power an active cable and unfortunately the TPD2S703-Q1 will not work for this case.

If you can tolerate the extra cost, the TPD6S300 will provide CC protection and comes in a QFN package that is friendlier to layout.

If we have to we will use the TPD6S300 but is much bigger than the TPD2S300 (we only need to protect the CC line !!!) and will need to make a major change to the design. It is a shame that you don't offer an alternate footprint and it appears that the PCB manufacturer's and assemblers have a lot of trouble with the 0.4 pitch !
