Hi,

Using TUSB4041I in standalone(without EEPROM/SMBus), how should below pins be set?

・SCL/SMBCLK

・SDA/SMBDAT

・SMBUSz

Hello Kuramochi-san,

For this case:
SCL and SDA can be left unconnected
SMBUSz should be pulled high or unconnected (internal pull-up).

Are SCL and SDA allowed also pull-down?

And if SCL and SDA are pulled up, is there possibility that TUSB4041I doesn't work correctly?

If SMBUSz is high, and SDA and SCL are high then the TUSB4041 will check for an attached EEPROM but if it doesn't see one it will work in pin configured mode. Recommendation is for SDA and SCL to be pulled low or unconnected.
