Dear all,

is there any protection to limit the current in case of short of A or B pin to GND ?

Will be there only a thermal shutdown ?

    Hi Domenico,

    In addition to the thermal shutdown, SN65HVD1792 also features short-circuit current limiting of the driver outputs. This ensures that the maximum current flowing into or out of the RS-485 bus is 250 mA (see the "IOS" specification).
