At page 46 of the DP83867CR's datasheet, it is clearly said that a strap circuit is required on the RX_DV/RX_CTRL pin.
It is trivial that without it the configuration mode for Autoneg Disable will be MODE1 which is N/A.
On the DP83867ERGZ-R-EVM, this strap is not populatied.
However, it does work and Autoneg is enabled by default, and so without writing any register though MDIO.
I understand that the EVM I'm talking about embeds a DP83867E and not CR, but the DP83867E's datasheet (page 37) also gives that MODE1 is N/A for the RX_CTRL pin.
At the end, is the Autoneg Disable Strap absolutely required on the DP83867CRRGZ?
