DP83TC811S-Q1: PHY device: issue about Start of Frame Detect for IEEE 1588 Time Stamp

According to the datasheet 8.3.2, does it mean when PHY receive one 1588 Time Stamp, then PHY could detect the 1588 Time Stamp, and output one pulse. is it right? And about the 1588 Time Stamp, is it sent from the CPU?

Hi Zhengquan,

The DP83TC811S-Q1 will detect the SSD for each incoming and outgoing frame on the MDI, regardless of it being a 1588 frame or normal frame. This is a helpful feature in that it eliminates the path jitter in from the MDI to the xMII.
