    Hello James,

    Since a transceiver device like this operates without any kind of internal clock signal, the main factor limiting data rate is the differential output rise/fall time. A general rule of thumb is that it is good to keep the signal transition times less than 33% bit period. Applying this rule to this transceiver (with maximum output transition time of 14 MHz) gives a maximum data rate of ~24 Mbps.

    Thanku u for your reply. Kindly suggest the RS422 Driver & RS422 Receiver IC part for below mentioned requirement.
    Speed: 40MHz
    No of channel : 4 or 4ch above
    RS422 Driver & RS422 Receiver
    Application : JTAG programming

    Hi James,

    For our quad-channel devices, we recommend operation at 32 Mbps and below. To support 40 Mbps you may want to look at single-channel transceivers. THVD1550 would be one example supporting rates as high as 50 Mbps.
