I have a Mac with the 10.3 OS installed. I am using a TUSB3410 UART EVM in order to troubleshoot this issue. I have installed the driver on the Mac and will continue with my debug tomorrow. Would you please confirm that you followed these steps when installing the Virtual COM Port driver:

1) Copy TIVCPSerial.kext extension into /System/Library/Extensions folder

cd build/<Release|Debug>
sudo cp -R TIVCPSerial.kext /System/Library/Extensions
sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions

2) Set kext owner to root - it is kext system specification - without it, kext is not recognized by system

sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/TIVCPSerial.kext

3) Set kext privileges to 755 - it is kext system specification - without it, kext is not recognized by system

sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/TIVCPSerial.kext

4) Reboot computer

I was able to send messages through a serial port emulator from a Windows to a MacOS machine using two TUSB3410 UART EVMs without an issue. After you confirm that you followed the instructions above, could you please give more information about your setup?

My customer have used 10.12.6, the driver seems ok, but if they use 10.13.6, they will see NOK.

Also, we already followed the steps that you listed.

I am using OS 10.13.2. I will see if I can get a laptop with OS 10.13.6 installed. In the meantime, could you please send me the information that is printed on by the following command in a terminal window:

ls -l /System/Library/Extensions/TIVCPSerial.kext

Also, please provide me more information about your system.

What is running the minicom software, the Mac?
What is the Mac trying to communicate with? How is it connected?

No I haven't.  The Mac is currently being used to support other customers, and it is not clear if this is still a problem.
