Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ALP
Interface folks - my customer has the following question about the DS90UB926:
It seems that these parts must work in pairs (serializer/deserializer) due to the fact that there is a low speed channel where they communicate to each other (I2C BCC). The reason I bring this up is that for board test (where the board contains just the de-serializer) I was wanting to see if a tester could be used to provide the LVDS bit stream and just repeatedly send certain bit patterns that could be verified at the outputs of the deserializer. This would allow us to set up a repeating bit stream, verify proper DC levels on the RGB outputs, then change to a new repeating bit stream and verify a new set of DC levels on the RGB outputs and so on..
Any thoughts on what we were wanting to do?
Thanks I/F team!
