TCA9803: Application about the PCA9803

Hi team,

My customer are building a board that need to live insertion into a backboard.

So they are looking at a I2C part which can support the live insertion.

Does the PCA9803 support live insertion? If not, does any part can support?

    Hey Lacey,

    TCA9803 does not support hot insertion. You could get away with hot insertion with this device if you disable the TCA9803, then insert and after the device is inserted you could enable the device.

    The only device currently which supports hot insertion is TCA4311A.
