Hi there:

We'd like to check an question for our customer, they'd like to know whether DS250DF410 could support FEC (forward error correction) at 10G & 25G.

If so, how could we set-up this by the GUI config?

Hi Kay,

FEC is normally implemented in two different way:
1). 10.3125G Link is padded with extra bits to form 12.5Gbps link. Extrabits error corrections over head.
2). In some other applications, one channel is used - for example - at 10.3125Gbps from source to sink while another channel is used at lower data rates - from sink to source- for FEC purpose/negotiation.
