Hello,

We have the DS90UB927QEVM set up to provide a fixed blue screen.

The pattern that we get cycles through black screen, white screen, black/white checkerboard, then vertical lines, then horizontal lines, then red screen, green screen, and blue screen. Unknown as to why...

Can you help us get controllable results? Is ALP out of date?

Ryan,

In the screen shot, the profile selected shows as DS90UB928 but you mention using DS90UB927QEVM. Please connect ALP using UB927 profile.

Hi Vishy,

My fault, the post should read DS90UB928Q-Q1 and DS90UB928QEVM.

They are using the internal pattern generator on the deserializer.

The screenshots are accurate, and we would expect a constant blue screen right? Even if auto-scroll was activated, we would expect more cycles than the 8 we are seeing.

Ryan,

I assume you are using UB928 Pattern Generation with internal clock (without FPD-LINK III connection to serializer).

If patterns are getting cycled through, then may be autoscroll got enabled somehow. Could you power cycle and restart the GUI and connect? Then please try again from Patgen tab
a) disable generator
b) choose video control as you have (internal timing and display selection)
c) choose color bars
d) enable generator
e) toggle invert video
Does this show properly?

Ryan,

I set up a ub928 EVM connected to display and tried patgen as you describe. I was able to see the blue color pattern display properly. See screen shot below of my settings

I use latest ALP (v1.57.0010) with update v02 from TI.com
