TUSB1046A-DCI: TUSB1046A-DCI without a PD

Hi Team,

Could you please advise us if TUSB1046A-DCI can be a ALT Mode switch of USB 3.1 and DisplayPort™ without a PD controller ?

We don't need PD and flip detection function, therefore we need to make sure whether TUSB1046A-DCI can work as an independent part without a PD controller?

We plan to control CTL1/CTL0/FLIP by external GPIO or I2C to meet 2 scenarios of "One Port USB3.1 + 2 Lane DP" or "4 Lane DP" on our product

What is your end application and why you do not need PD controller?

You can put TUSB1046 into Alt mode switch without PD controller by driving the proper logic level on CTL0/CTL1/FLIP pins in GPIO mode or write to address 0x0Ah in I2C mode.

Thanks for your answer.

We would like to implement TUSB1046 into a embedded system with type-c connector, we don't need PD and flip function because it is an internal cable.
