Hi,

Can you please let me know the detail condition where DS90UB927-Q1 detects the link fault?

Does DS90UB927-Q1 monitor the voltage at DOUT+/- pins and compare with reference voltage?
Or detect based on the CRC error on the backchannel communication?

Hello Ken-san,

this bit indicates if there is a link between SER and DES or No Link. this is based on Back Channel communication. If the SER does not recive any BC data this means no link is detected.

There is no detailed conditions as shown above.

Thank you for your quick response! It's helpful.
I understood that SER does not monitor any of specific voltage at DOUT+/-.

Let me ask a bit details "this is based on Back Channel communication."

Does this mean that SER checks the CRC on Back Chanel Communication and detect whether it has error or not?
If we have the error, then SER declare that "link is not detected on 0x0C[1].
Is my understanding correct?

Hello Ken,

No, this is not based on CRC errors. It is based on available back channel communication or not available.
