LMH1297: UHD-SDI to Fiber for Extending Range of SDI Video

Hello, I'm looking at using the LMH1297 to interface with a SDI 3G Video Camera. I want to design a board that will convert the Video to Fiber. I'm looking at the CWDM-SFP10G-1490 fiber transceiver (). I will need to figure out how to interface the LMH1297 75-OHM IO pins the the fiber transceiver pins which are CML. If anyone give me some suggestions please share them with me.

Hi Joe,

LMH1297 75-ohm side is intended to be used to drive or receive from 75-ohm coax. Given your diagram above, you can use 100-ohm OUT0 of LMH1297 operating in Equalizer mode and AC couple to your SFP module receiver.

Also, please note LMH1297 has just one 100-ohm output so Test pin is not available.

Lastly, please note since this is 3G SDI, you can use LMH0397 instead of LMH1297 device. These are pin and register compatible but LMH0397 is 3G SDI and below rate and thus lower cost.
