TPS65987D: Certification Test ID in "Transmit Identity Data Object" 0x47

Hi, everyone,

We have some questions about "Transmit Identity Data Object" 0x47.

I noticed that Certification Test ID changed from 0x0 to 0x27c00 from ver. 4.03.

(1) Is this the test ID of TI ?

(2) Should we change this ID to 0x0?

(3) How does TPS65987D use it?

Does behavior of PD controller TPS65987D depend on this test ID (between 0x27c00 & 0x0) ?

Now, we're using development environment ver. 4.09,
and we have to fix FW within today.

I'm in hurry.

Hi Maurice,

This is the TI Test ID. When the customer goes for PD Certification with the USB-IF, they can change this field to their test ID. This setting has no impact on PD performance.
