TMDS171: CSR BIT Field Definitions register

I read section 8.3.5. However I do not understand what does "RX Pattern Verifier Control/Status " mean.

On the customer evaluation, the register of 1Ah and 1Bh and 1Eh is changed at every start up. What is this register for?

And is this behavior(changeing every startup) normal?
