I would like to know what's the difference between TVS diode and ESD?

    There is not any real difference between ESD diodes and TVS diodes. Generally speaking, TVS diodes are used to refer to diodes that handle more energy and longer pulses (like IEC61000-4-5 surge, which is 20us long) while ESD diodes are designed to handle very short pulses likes ESD (~100ns long), but there isn't an actually difference in definition between the two.
